We’ll soon be able to use the existing heat from the port of Rotterdam to warm up homes. This means certain homes and businesses will no longer need gas in the near future. That’s both sustainable and better for nature.

Heijmans has been commissioned by WarmtelinQ to lay the pipeline. Heijmans may, at times, hire other contractors to help with the work. You’ll therefore be able to see several different names at the construction site.

Heijmans generally works from 06:00 to 18:00 hours. We’ll occasionally work nights and weekends too. We’ll always provide information regarding this in advance. 

The entire pipeline will be completed in 2025. Although we’ll be working in phases. This means we won’t be working near you all the time. The work map will show you during which phase we’ll currently be working in your area.

The municipality of The Hague will determine which districts are going to be connected. And which districts will not. It’s therefore best to submit this question to the municipality. Via www.denhaag.nl or 14070.

Yes. Shops and homes will always remain accessible on foot. Diversions are going to be necessary for cars and cyclists.
